When the stakes are high and the next move isn’t obvious.
Private executive, relationship and recovery coaching for leaders, creatives, couples, families and individuals. Discreet, by referral, for more than 25 years.
My Work
My work has three threads, and most clients bring all three.
Recovery
Discreet recovery coaching and private recovery companioning for high-profile clients: in residence, on location and during travel. Then life after treatment: rebuilding careers, relationships, routines and identity.
Recovery coaching during and after treatment
Private recovery companioning at home, on set, on tour and in transit
Support for partners and families through recovery
Discreet coordination with each client’s care team
Relationships
In business, with partners, boards and leadership teams, including strategic mediation. At home, with couples and families. And with yourself, after a setback that changed everything.
Co-founder, partnership and leadership-team dynamics
Strategic mediation for partners, boards and family enterprises
Couples and family coaching through conflict, change and rebuilding trust
Reinvention after a public failure, career loss or life-altering event
Leadership
Transitions, career pivots, high-pressure decisions and executive presence, for executives, founders and creative leaders.
Executive and C-suite advisory
Leadership transitions and career pivots
Preparation for high-stakes conversations and negotiations
Executive presence and narrative strategy
About Kathryn
I’m Kathryn Mastrogiovanni, CMC, founder of The Prestige Advisory. I began my career in film and television development at Sony Studios, Columbia Pictures and Spelling Television, then went on to senior leadership roles in luxury treatment programs in Malibu and Los Angeles. For more than 25 years, high-profile creatives, C-suite leaders, founders, couples, families and individuals have trusted me when the stakes are highest. I built my practice entirely by referral, often with a waiting list, and many clients have stayed with me for 20 years or more.
My work is strategic, discreet and deeply personal. Clients often come to me for one challenge and discover that their work, their relationships and their recovery are connected, so we address them together. I’m also a writer, photographer and abstract painter, and I bring that creative eye to everything I do.
A rare understanding of creative pressure, executive pressure, and what it takes to rebuild.

Questions
What people often ask.
-
No, though our work goes deep. I’m a Certified Master Coach, and together we look closely at your history, your patterns, your relationships and, for leaders, your company’s story, because understanding where you’ve been shapes where you’re going. What coaching doesn’t do is diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Our focus is on your well-being, your growth and the life and work you want to build. When therapy or medical care is part of the picture, I’m glad to work alongside your clinicians.
-
Often, more than people expect. Clients describe a change that is both inner and outer: renewed confidence and self-worth, more joy and ease, clearer decisions, and a deeper sense of meaning in their work and their lives. Relationships change too: trust is repaired, communication opens, and couples and families find their way back to connection and intimacy, and begin to thrive. Many call it transformational. For leaders, that change reaches everyone around them, and teams and company cultures become more open, positive and resilient.
-
Clients come for many reasons: a leadership transition, a partnership under strain, a startup at a turning point, a creative block, a marriage or family in conflict, or a recovery that needs steady support. Most bring more than one, because work and personal life are rarely separate.
-
Yes. I advise executives, founders and startup teams on leadership, high-stakes decisions, co-founder and partnership dynamics, growth and transitions, and the personal pressures that come with them.
-
Yes. For more than 25 years, I’ve worked with writers, actors, directors, producers and visual artists on creative blocks, career pivots, the pressure of visibility and the relationships that surround the work.
-
Yes. I work with couples navigating conflict, change, communication, intimacy and rebuilding trust, including couples who work together or share a business.
-
Yes. Families and partners are often part of recovery, change and personal and professional relationship repair, and I work with them directly or alongside the client.
-
Yes, and it’s at the heart of my work. I work with individuals on almost anything life brings: becoming more fully themselves, their relationships with others personally and professionally, transitions and turning points, questions of meaning and purpose, and the moments when life no longer feels like it fits. Wherever you are, we start there.
-
No. Recovery is one part of my practice. Many clients come to me for leadership, relationships or personal growth alone.
-
We begin with a confidential conversation to clarify what you're facing, whether it's personal, professional or both. From there, I tailor the work to you: ongoing weekly sessions, a focused engagement of 90 days or longer around a specific goal, or intensive on-location support. Many clients return at each new chapter of their lives.
-
Both: in person in Dallas and Los Angeles, on location, and virtually with clients nationwide. In addition, recovery companioning can include travel and on-location support.
-
Discretion is built into everything: private scheduling, discreet invoicing, and nothing about our work is shared without your permission, except where disclosure is required by law.
-
Engagements are tailored, and fees are discussed privately after our first conversation.
Discretion is the foundation of everything I do.
Engagements are private, nothing about our work is shared without your permission, and calendars and invoices are kept fully discreet.
